Northeast Georgia Land is a resource built for landowners navigating one of the fastest-changing land markets in the Southeast.
Alex Petry is a real estate professional with a background spanning residential development, commercial asset management, and investment brokerage. That range of experience shapes how he approaches land — not as a commodity to be listed and forgotten, but as an asset with a specific cost basis, a tax position, a zoning reality, and a development trajectory that are all moving at the same time.
Alex joined Norton Commercial as an analyst and quickly immersed himself in the firm’s asset services division, managing a portfolio of commercial properties across multiple asset classes. That work built the analytical foundation — understanding how properties perform at the income statement level, what capital improvements actually move the needle, and how corridor-level infrastructure investment translates into rent and occupancy over time. Alex moved into the development services team, where he worked through the full cycle of residential development, adaptive reuse projects, and medical asset renovations.
Alex transitioned into brokerage to put that hands-on background to work directly for clients, offering advisory services to landowners and commercial property owners across Georgia. In Northeast Georgia — particularly along the HWY 316, HWY 365, I-85, and I-985 corridors — the gap between a landowner’s perception of value and the market’s current reality can move significantly in either direction. Closing that gap requires data, not just intuition.
If you own land in Northeast Georgia and are trying to understand what it’s worth, what’s happening around it, or what your options are, this is a good place to start — and the contact page is a good place to continue that conversation.
